The concept of creating a textile screen printing company began in the back row of an advertising classroom in college. Steve Mattero and friend Don Wimmer were drawing cartoons (instead of paying attention) and dreamed of entrepreneurial ventures in screen printing. By the summer of '79 they had mastered the basics of textile printing and sold T-shirts at concerts in Central Park, Manhattan. This helped pay for college and after a short lived accounting career Steve started The Divine Line in 1983. Divine Line produced Christian stock designs for sale in bookstores and via mail order, as well as screened products for local businesses and schools. In 1990 more emphasis was given to custom printing and the name was changed to Dezine Line. The operation originated in his home, but after Steve got married, wife Joanna desired a more generic use of the upstairs bathroom. So in 1989 the business was set up in a 600 sq ft shop downtown. The company expanded to a 900 sq ft space in 1991, and again to a 3,000 sq ft location in 1996. After 15 years in the old school building, where no one could find us, we moved to our present address, a prime location on Rt 46 in Ledgewood where we have been since 2009. Our business has grown since the move buy about 8 % a year. In 2012 we broke all records for sales, and we continued doing that every year since! We were working very hard, that is for sure! We appreciate all of the business our customers have given us. Repeat business and referrals has always been a huge part in our growth and success!
Thank You!
If you want your garments done right, Dezine Line can print from 1 to 8 colors on most anything textile. T-shirts, Sweats, Jackets, Hats, Tote Bags, Umbrellas, Aprons, Mugs, Pens, Magnets, etc. We have the right equipment, the know-how based on our 30 years of experience, and printing capabilities to add the highest degree of quality to your job. Our presses are high-precision for tight color registration and consistency in print quality from the first to the last garment. We effectively cure-dry the garments so they don't fade or wash out for years to come. We stock all basic and many special ink colors, or if you need a special color match, we can do that as well.
We have 2 of the best embroidery machines available and can do anything from small monograms and names to fleece, and full jacket backs.
Many local businesses never get ink on their hands. We screen print 98% of our work...a small number of jobs are sent to top quality print places that handle very big jobs so that we don't kill the printers here, and ensure production stays on time.
Production time on most orders is 10 business days from the time we have camera ready artwork in hand. We can turn around RUSH orders in as little as 48 hours, however, an extra fee applies (our record is an hour and a half from the time the order was placed to the moment we handed the client his 12 dozen printed Tees.) Most designs can be set up very quickly using our in-house 25,000 plus pieces of camera-ready art and 1500 fonts. You can choose from our many existing design templates, or have our art department create something to your specifications.
We can assist you in maximizing the impact of your printed or embroidered items by making recommendations on layout and color based upon our 30+ years in the business.
If you are not satisfied with your job because of a production flaw, we will redo it or promptly refund your money. We want our customers to be satisfied so that they return and tell their friends about us.
We look forward to assisting you with your promotional and textile screen printing and embroidery needs.
